Words of Wisdom:

When we make
other people responsible
for our feelings,
we also make them
responsible for ending
our feelings.

About Maria

Maria Rowe is a Life Coach who focuses on supporting individuals while they deal with many of life's challenges.

Her work includes dealing with planned or unexpected life transitions such as "launching" teens, re-marriage, job changes, or illness.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Ms. Rowe graduated from the University of Santa Monica with a MA in Counseling Psychology, as well as a MA in Spiritual Psychology. The University of Santa Monica is internationally known for supporting soul-centered education and healing.

After graduating she obtained a license and practiced marriage and family counseling for over 20 years.

Maria's experience and education focus on facilitating healing mind-body-spirit connections that are basic to a person's well-being and wholeness. "Spiritual Psychology" as an emerging discipline in the last two decades, encompasses the sum of all four levels of a person's experience: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Moreover, the spiritual realm is distinguished from religious, in that it includes any experience that gives a sense of purpose and meaning and supports devotion to a larger force (religious, artistic, social) beyond oneself. In Spiritual Psychology, healing and wellness derive from focus on the whole person.

Ms. Rowe has received extensive postgraduate training and her methods are grounded in non-violent communication principles, mindfulness and neurobiological research on attachment.

She also holds certification as Expressive Arts Practitioner from the Institute of Expressive Arts in Newport Beach, CA. Ms Rowe believes that creative arts expression is a pathway to improved self-understanding and well-being.

Additional education includes Reiki I & II and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
